RISING ATHLETES CHASE EXCELLENCE

Pilot Programs
Our community outreach initiative connects underserved neighborhoods with accessible sports programs and health and wellness education, empowering youth to build healthy habits, develop confidence, and engage actively in their communities.

At Swift Fit, our cohorts take part in fitness training while also engaging in hands-on food-making sessions at the gym’s in-house juice bar. Here, youth learn how to prepare smoothies, healthy snacks, and meals that fuel their growth and physical performance. By blending nutritional education with active training, participants see firsthand how healthy choices impact their strength, energy, and recovery.

The Rising Athletes Gym is a safe and supportive space where youth can grow, learn, and lead. In partnership with Rising Athletes Chase Excellence, Inc., this gym serves as a hub for confidence-building, life skills development, and advocacy training, all reinforced through the power of movement. Through active, movement-based programming, youth not only improve their physical health but also engage in interactive workshops that promote personal growth, teamwork, and leadership.

The young ladies of the Frankford Chargers are building healthier futures. Through our collaboration, they take part in hands-on workshops that strengthen nutrition knowledge, encourage them to practice healthy habits, and highlight the importance of recovery to support both athletic performance and overall well-being.

At Samuel Pennypacker School, we integrated health and wellness into students’ everyday lives through ongoing assignments designed to support their growth and development. To make learning fun and impactful, we also introduced engaging fitness games that helped youth better understand their bodies while emphasizing the importance of overall wellness in an interactive way.
We partner with schools, community centers, and volunteers to create supportive spaces where youth ages 10–18 learn the value of health, teamwork, and leadership. Through our Wellness in Motion program, youth take part in weekly workshops that combine nutrition education, hands-on cooking and smoothie-making, and active sports or fitness. Each session shows them how healthy foods fuel their bodies, how movement strengthens them, and how recovery supports long-term wellness.

Youth obesity is a critical challenge nearly 1 in 5 U.S. children are obese, and rates are even higher in underserved communities like Philadelphia, where over 40% of youth struggle with overweight or obesity. R.A.C.E. directly addresses this by giving young people the tools to build healthy habits, increase confidence, and practice leadership through active, engaging experiences. Participants leave with practical nutrition knowledge, improved fitness, and the confidence to make healthier choices, helping to reduce their risk of obesity and its lifelong health consequences.
